These are the lyrics to a song I’ve been working on for a couple years now. The first verse came to me one day in the shower, to the tune of Tom Petty’s Last Dance. Obviously I was single at the time. The second verse came to me one day while I was away from the wife for five weeks. Anyway, just think of the harmonica part at the break. It just needs a verse in between these two to connect them, and/or something to end it. Other than that though, I think it’s perfect so far.
More songs Moose and I might play at our wedding (we figure generally dance music throughout the day). After the wedding we’ll post the full playlist that we actually played, in order.
Shaggy – Angel
Dead or Alive – Spin Me Round
Mashup Germany – Life of Bad Touch
Alcazar – This is the World We Live In Continue Reading
There’s a nasty combo that spawns infinite 1/1 flying Hornet tokens with deathtouch. I almost never build decks around combos, and this one can be especially tricky to pull off, being a three-color four-card combo, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it. Here’s what’s in the deck: Continue Reading
This deck I’ve had for probably 8 years now, and it’s evolved a bunch in that time. The main mechanism of this deck is token spawn. It used to be as simple as spawn 50 or so token elves, use lifegain, and over-run your opponent. Now there are a few other tricks, but I swap out a few cards almost every time I play it, trying to perfect the formula. This deck indirectly started from the Elf deck in the original Elves VS Goblins. I had taken that deck apart, but in going through my green cards to build another deck this is what I came up with. There are times when the deck takes a while to get going (which can ruin it’s possibility of winning, especially against my group of friends), and there are times when it defeats 4 opponents with only two forests. Here’s what’s in the deck at the time of writing this: Continue Reading
This is the deck I built for my wife. She’s new and not much into Magic, so I made sure it was simple to use, yet could still hold it’s own against an opponent or two. I made sure every creature has flying plus one other feature (and it’s a fairly creature-heavy deck), with the exception of about three creatures who are low cost with life gain. Here’s what’s in the deck: Continue Reading

I used to really not like rainy days.
They made me unhappy in multiple ways.
Gray and gloomy and just not much fun.
But that was back when I could play in the sun.
The days are long past, me not liking rain.
The Grayness and wetness no longer bring pain.
I have learned through the years how not to feel down
when the Grayness encompasses all of the town.
I find it refreshing when I can’t see clear skies,
for the sun burns my skin like it once did my eyes.
It instantly hits me; feels like I’m on fire.
Similar problem as that of vampire.
But I am no vampire, this I can swear; Continue Reading
